A few more...

This last weekend was wonderful. We had Chris, Loz and Max to visit, which was just the tonic after a tough week with a rather unwell Milo. Seeing he, Max and Ruby together really was something special and we are really looking forward to being able to get together again soon. Thanks to the Morrisons for coming to see us, it was fab xxxx

We had a lovely and long overdue day with Dave and Liz last weekend. It being the FA cup final day we just about had time to stroll around Southwater lake & munch an ice cream before heading back to D&L's for the second half of the match. Ruby eclipsed the cup match action by rolling over for the first time (tummy to back - the easier of the two to accomplish) - far more exciting in my book.
Fed up of night time waking, we decided to begin weaning Ruby this week. She certainly likes her food and very quickly got the hang of the idea of it coming from a spoon, in fact she looked at me as if to say 'at last!' and gobbled down everything I gave her. So far she's enjoyed banana, apple, pear and carrot.....and the last two nights has slept much better.

We spent the rest of our week together at home. Milo and Ruby are good buddies now; she is facinated with him and he seems to adore her (a little on the boisterous side sometimes but very affectionate). My emotions seems to run very swiftly from 'ahhhh, aren't they beautiful together' to 'please don't squash her'.
We had a day out at Polesdon Lacey (NT property) where Milo was more interested in the stones and the trees than anything else.
Steve is particularly fond of the plant pictured and wants to know what it is...answers to the usual address please.
Finally we spent most of the day today at the Winn's house, having lunch with them and the Hunters, comparing new babies and catching up. A lovely day, thanks all xxxx

Steve took a week off work this last week and we spent the first few days of it up in Norfolk visiting Christa, Alex and Morwenna (see link to left side). Unfortunately the weather was not brilliant, but it was nonetheless great to spend time with the Bowlings. Milo and Morwenna took a while to understand one another (buying Milo his own toy pushchair was a necessary part of this process!) while Ruby watched from the sidelines. She had an awful cold that went to her chest so was a bit miserable during our stay. Apart from a day out to a castle nearby we spent our time at home and in the park......thank you Alex, Christa and Morwenna for your hospitality and good company xxxx
